Day 1: ARRIVE
ISTANBUL
See Turkey by land and by boat! Get a feel of Turkish culture beginning with an intensive tour of Turkey's hot spots, and then enjoy 4 luxurious days discovering the cool crystal waters of Aegean Sea. Our friendly and helpful INTEROMEGA staff will transfer you from the Istanbul airport to your city center hotel. D
Day 2: ISTANBUL
A full day sightseeing tour of Istanbul's main attractions which include: Blue Mosque, St. Sophia, Byzantine Cistern, Ancient Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Kariye Museum (St. Savior in Chora Church), and Covered Bazaar. On the way stop for lunch on your own. In the evening you can take advantage of an optional By Night Tour of this lively city, followed by an exotic oriental show of Turkish celebration held in a popular Istanbul night club. B
Day 3: ISTANBUL
In the morning, depart by boat to Prince Islands for a tour by horse-drawn carriage around the Big Island. On the way stop for lunch on your own. A fun filled day of sun and relaxation. Return back to the hotel for overnight. B
Day 4: ISTANBUL / ANKARA
In the morning set sail again, this time discovering the Bosphorus and ports of call on the Asian and the European coasts. After a free lunch on your own in Tarabya Bay, cross the Bosphorus Bridge and visit the Asian side of the city, along with the Camlica Hills for an exciting panoramic view of Istanbul's mystical skyline. Enjoy the last few hours in Istanbul with dinner and then transfer to the train station to depart for Ankara by a comfortable sleeper train. B & D
Day 5: ANKARA /
CAPPADOCIA
Ankara, the political capital of Turkey. Begin with a city tour which includes the ancient Hittite museum and its remarkable marble statues and scriptures dating back to 1000 B.C. Then travel through the city to the most important political monument in Turkey, Atatürk's mausoleum, the "father of modern Turkey". After lunch, drive along the giant Salt Lake en route to Cappadocia, one of Turkey's special cultures. After checking into the hotel, enter the underground world through the City of Kaymakli. There are many similar cities, each unique in its size and structure, and some extend as deep as 14 stories. Dinner and overnight is in Nevsehir. B & D
Day 6 : CAPPADOCIA
In the morning visit the unique Goreme Valley, a barren land that has a unique beauty. Discover these famous rock churches decorated with remarkable frescoes by the first Christians, and then return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit the small picturesque villages of Uchisar known as the petrified valley of pigeon coats, Zelve a popular valley for its fairy chimneys and erosion cones, Avcilar, Avanos, and Urgup. After a busy day of exploration, have dinner and relax in the hotel. B & D
Day 9: CAPPADOCIA /
KONYA
In the morning, depart for Konya, the city of the Whirling Dervishes. Visit Mevlana Tekkesi, the Museum of the Whirling Dervishes, which holds the Dervishes' tombs, ancient relics, and precious carpets dating to the 12th century. Continue on to the Medresse of Karatay which was formerly a Koran school, but now holds a priceless ceramic and tile collection. Also observe the unique architecture of the Aladdin Mosque. Dinner and overnight is in Konya. B & D
Day 8: KONYA / PAMUKKALE
After breakfast depart for Pamukkale. Have lunch en route, and in the afternoon experience the oasis pools of Pamukkale, where many plateaus of limestone pools are created by the natural spring water that flows downhill. Also be sure to visit the ruins of Hierapolis, left behind by past Roman civilizations. Stay for dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. B & D
Day 9: PAMUKKALE / APHRODISIAS / BODRUM
On the way to Bodrum visit the famous ruins of Aphrodisias, a Hellenistic city known as the center of the arts, specifically sculpture. The city contains a two mile long Byzantine wall which surrounds the city, the temple of Aphrodite, the Baths of Hadrian, and a 1st century A.D. stadium that seated 30,000 and has a length of almost two football fields. Arrive in the exciting summer city of Bodrum, and board a Gullet (traditional wooden motor yacht) to have dinner and spend overnight. B & D
Day 10: BODRUM / GUMUSLUK / MINDOS
First enjoy breakfast on
board. Then after completing the harbor formalities, depart for Gumusluk which
is a small fishing village in Mindos. The hosting city to the rebel Aristonicus,
that sheltered the ships of the Tyrannized Cassius after the mur
der
of Julius Caesar in 44 B.C.. The ancient site of Mindos carries these famous
ramparts, and Byzantine Churches. Return back to the ship for a dinner and an
evening under the Aegean stars.

Day 11: MINDOS / KNIDOS
A traditional Turkish breakfast on these crystal clear waters is an excellent way to start the day. Today we will cross the gulf of Gokova and cruise towards Knidos (Cnidus), founded by the Dorians shortly after the Trojan war. Explore the archaeological site, along with the ruins of Aphrodite's temple, and the shrine of Demeter and Kore. Return for dinner and overnight on board. B, L & D
Day 12: KNIDOS / ORAKLAR
Take the time to enjoy the Mediterranean sun today by relaxing on the boat, swim in the tropical waters, or take up one of the many nautical sports we offer. Full board meals and overnight is on board. B, L & D
Day 13: ORAKLAR / BODRUM / KUSADASI
Enjoy the last few hours on the mystical sea, as we depart for Bodrum. Disembark from the Gullet after lunch and transfer to the exciting sea port of Kusadasi for dinner. The many boardwalks and candle lit streets offer excellent evening entertainment. B, L & D
Day 14: KUSADASI /
EPHESUS / IZMIR
Today is a special day! Begin with a short drive to the neighboring city of Selcuk to see St. John's Basilica; the city where he spent his final years. Advance through the valley to explore the remarkable ruins of the Roman city "Ephesus". Let your imagination run wild as you walk down the marble streets as the Romans once did. This ancient city that had a population of 300,000 is the best preserved and most complete in Turkey, and is still under exploration by world class archeologists. Return to Selcuk for lunch, and then drive to Izmir, an exciting metropolis, for dinner and overnight at the hotel. B & D
Day 15: RETURN HOME
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport with enough time to check in before departure. B
